Culinary Crawl, Continued
Sometimes what you make at home is restaurant worthy
Caprese Sandwich isn’t dutch but we’ve seen it on several menus while here in the Netherlands. This was super easy to make at home and delicious. We used burrata cheese and skipped the basil.
Turns out these little cuties are called Poffertjes and they are little dutch pancakes. You can buy them in the refrigerated section of the grocery store. Turns out only 3 minutes in the air fryer turns them into mouth watering little pockets of joy that melt in your mouth. Yum! We topped them with a little butter and jam, closed our eyes and Mmmmmmmmd.
Kipschnitzel isn’t dutch either but again we see it and all it’s variations, ie. pork, beef etc. on menus and at the grocery store. Schnitzel is thinly sliced meat or meat that is pounded thin and has a breaded coating. Tim ate it without dipping sauce. What!?

Oh and…. We did a thing today. Stay tuned…

Looks delicious!!
